The ADMX Signal is a type of S-Poly signal used in the ADMX system.

It uses nine channels…

1Hue
2Saturation
3Brightness
4Pan
5Tilt
6Aux 1
7Aux 2
8Aux 3
9Aux 4

The values on each channel are in the range 0 V to 5 V.

The mapping of ADMX signal channels to DMX channels is performed by the ADMX Output module using a rig definition that is created using an ADMX Rig Definer module and one or more ADMX Fixture modules.

The Hue, Saturation and Brightness channels carry color information that is converted into Red, Green, Blue, White, Amber and UV format by the ADMX Output module depending on the facilities of a DMX fixture as defined by an ADMX Fixture module. The Hue, Saturation and Brightness values in a signal can be set using an ADMX Color module.

The Pan and Tilt channels carry rotational information that is used by moving head fixtures. The range of rotation is dependent on the individual fixtures. The DMX channels used for Pan and Tilt by a particular fixture are determined by the PAN CHANNEL and TILT CHANNEL settings of an ADMX Fixture module. The Pan and Tilt values in a signal can be set using an ADMX Pan & Tilt module.

The auxillary channels Aux 1, Aux 2, Aux 3 and Aux 4 are general purpose parameters with meanings that depend on which DMX channel they are assigned to by an ADMX Fixture module. The Aux 1, Aux 2, Aux 3 and Aux 4 values in a signal can be set using an ADMX Aux module.
